Planning Application 26/00427/FUL – Consultation Update
Following the Extraordinary Meeting of Trowell Parish Council held on 31 July 2026, the Parish Council contacted Broxtowe Borough Council regarding concerns that some residents living close to the application site had not received neighbour notification letters.
The Case Officer has confirmed that a site notice was displayed near the application site inviting comments until 13 August 2026. In addition, the Council has advised that representations may continue to be submitted up until the planning application is determined.
Residents who wish to comment on the application should submit their representations directly to Broxtowe Borough Council via the Planning Portal or by contacting the Borough Council’s Planning Department.
When making comments on a planning application, residents are encouraged to focus on material planning considerations, as these are the matters that the Local Planning Authority is able to take into account when determining an application.
Trowell Parish Council considered the application at its Extraordinary Meeting on 31 July 2026 and will be submitting its formal consultation response to Broxtowe Borough Council in accordance with the resolution agreed by Members.
We are a resident of Tiree Close Trowell and are against yet more houses being built on what little green land left around Trowell there is. Haven’t we got enough houses been built of land opposite Stapleford Road?
We are well below the main road being (Stapleford Road) and when it rains hard the drains cannot take the excess water. It would help if the drains were cleaned out more but that’s another issue. Most of the properties on Tiree Close are bungalows and haven’t got an upstairs if any problems should arise with flooding.
The fields get flooded from not only the Erewash but the Boundry Brook!
The traffic is getting busier each day and so yet more polution is inevitable.
We feel that this will solve nothing and it’s just a waste of time !
