Maypole & Memories – Full Event Itinerary Announced

Trowell Parish Council is pleased to share the full itinerary for the upcoming “Maypole & Memories” community celebration taking place on Saturday 16 May 2026 from 10.00am to 3.00pm. The event, inspired by the spirit of the Festival of Britain, will include Morris dancers, Maypole dancing by local Brownies, traditional games, a Teddy Bears’ Picnic and local heritage activities throughout the day. The celebrations will also include the announcement of the winning Festival Beer name and badge competition, organised in partnership with Festival Inn Pub. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic, refreshments and picnic blankets and enjoy a relaxed afternoon with family, friends and neighbours. Whether attending for the full day or simply joining for part of the programme, everyone is warmly invited to take part in this community celebration.
