Together for Trowell – Thank You to Our Emergency Services
Emergency services play a vital role in keeping our communities safe, often responding to incidents in challenging and demanding circumstances.
On Friday 26 June, firefighters from Stapleford Fire Station attended a vehicle fire in Trowell during one of the hottest days of the year.
Thankfully, the occupants of the vehicle, including two adults and a baby, escaped without injury.
Trowell Parish Council would like to thank the firefighters for their professionalism, dedication and swift response in dealing safely with what was a challenging incident in extremely high temperatures.
We would also like to recognise the kindness shown by members of the public who offered the crew cold drinks and ice lollies whilst they carried out their work. Small acts of kindness like these are a wonderful reflection of the community spirit that exists within our village.
Our thoughts remain with those affected by the incident, and we are grateful that nobody was seriously hurt.
Incidents such as this remind us not only of the dedication of our emergency services, but also of the compassion and support shown by local residents when it matters most.
Together, we can continue to look out for one another and be proud of our community.
