Trowell Scarecrow Competition 2026 – Through the Decades

Trowell Parish Council is delighted to announce the return of the Trowell Scarecrow Competition for 2026 as part of the village’s Trowell 75 celebrations. This year’s special theme is: “Through the Decades – From the 1950s to Today” Residents are invited to get creative and design scarecrows inspired by any decade from the 1950s onwards. From rock ’n’ roll and flower power to iconic film characters, music legends, fashions and modern trends, the competition promises to bring colour, fun and community spirit to villages throughout Trowell. The competition is open to everyone and participants are encouraged to take part as families, streets, groups of friends, organisations or community groups. Judging dates will be announced shortly, with updates shared via the Trowell Parish Hall Facebook page. Winners will be announced at the Trowell Summer Fete on Saturday 11th July 2026 as part of the wider Trowell 75 celebrations.
