Trowell Parish Council Acknowledges the Passing of David B Grindell

Trowell Parish Council is saddened to learn of the passing of David B Grindell, who died peacefully on Saturday 21st March at the age of 80.

Whilst many of our Members will have known David through his role as a Broxtowe Borough Councillor, he was a dedicated public servant who gave many years of service to the wider community. His commitment to local government and the people he represented was clear throughout his long and valued career.

As Clerk, I had the privilege of meeting David on a number of occasions and always found him to be courteous, approachable, and committed to his work within the Borough.

It is clear from the many tributes being shared that he was held in great affection by those who knew him — remembered as a kind and genuine gentleman who will be sadly missed.

We acknowledge and appreciate his contribution to public life and the positive impact he made across the area.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with his family and friends at this sad time.
