Broxtowe Borough Council News Release
Broxtowe Borough Council has announced a series of improvements at Colliers Wood Local Nature Reserve in Moorgreen, completed in partnership with the Friends of Colliers Wood.
The 14-hectare nature reserve has been enhanced with new features celebrating the site’s rich mining and industrial heritage, culminating in the installation of a memorial plaque alongside heritage items including a restored mine car and pulley wheel.
Representatives from the Friends of Colliers Wood were joined by Eastwood Town Mayor Councillor Neil Levett, Leader of Broxtowe Borough Council Councillor Milan Radulovic, and the 2025/26 Broxtowe Mayor Councillor Robert Bullock to mark the occasion.
