Young Volunteers Recognised for Their Community Spirit
After seeing a post on Spotted Trowell about the efforts of five local children, the Chair of the Parish Council, Cllr Michelle Harvey, felt their hard work deserved recognition.
When a delivery lorry recently tipped its load along the roadside, Rocko, Oliver, Angel-Rose, Jacob and Amelia-Grace didn’t hesitate to step in and help clear the mess. Their quick action and willingness to lend a hand showed true community spirit and pride in their village.
At the launch of the new Book Swap last night, the children were each presented with a certificate of thanks and a £10 Amazon voucher, kindly donated by Cllr Harvey.
Cllr Harvey said:
“What the children did was a shining example of community spirit. They took pride in their community and showed that when we work together and lend a hand, even in unexpected situations, it makes our village stronger and brings us closer as neighbours. I was delighted to be able to thank them personally for their efforts.”
The Parish Council extends its thanks and congratulations to all five children – a real credit to their families and to the village of Trowell.
