Join St Helen’s for Their Eco Garden Community Morning
St Helen’s Church, Trowell, is hosting an Eco Garden Activity Morning on Saturday 29th November from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. The event is open to anyone in the local area who would like to support the church’s Eco Garden and enjoy a friendly community atmosphere.
The Eco Garden at St Helen’s is being developed as a space that encourages wildlife, promotes biodiversity and offers a peaceful, natural environment for the community. During the activity morning, there will be a range of light gardening tasks, such as planting, tidying, gentle pruning and general care of the garden area.
Those who are able to attend are invited to bring secateurs, rakes, forks, spades or other gardening tools, together with black sacks for garden waste if available. These will help the volunteers to make good progress with the Eco Garden work.
For anyone who would prefer to be inside, there will be tea, biscuits and warm conversation in the church, along with fun activities for children indoors, making the morning suitable for families and individuals alike. As the weather may be wet, visitors are encouraged to bring wellies and waterproof clothing.
This Eco Garden activity morning is being delivered by St Helen’s Church with external funding and community support.
Made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players.
