Important update: Bin Collection Changes in Trowell
Trowell Parish Council has received a number of enquiries regarding recent changes to bin collection days. While this service is managed by Broxtowe Borough Council (not the Parish Council), enquiries have been made on residents’ behalf to help clarify the situation and reduce misinformation being shared.
Broxtowe Borough Council have confirmed the following:
Collection calendars
Residents should refer to the printed collection calendar delivered to their home, which sets out their new collection dates. This is currently the most accurate source of information.
Online collection tool
Residents are advised not to rely on the “When Is My Bin Collection Day?” online tool at this time, as it is being updated and may not display correct information for up to a month.
Missing calendars
If a resident has not received a collection calendar, or believes it to be missing, they should email environment@broxtowe.gov.uk to request a replacement.
Different collection days
Collection days are changing across the Borough and may vary by street. Residents should be aware that their collection day may differ from neighbouring properties.
Current situation
These changes are being rolled out across over 52,000 properties, and some temporary disruption or confusion is expected while updates are being implemented.
We hope this helps clarify the situation. For specific collection queries, residents should contact Broxtowe Borough Council directly using the details above or via the Parish Council email.
Queries can be submitted via the Parish Council email or directly to Broxtowe Borough Council.
